The basics.
Will the procedure hurt? What does "while you sleep" actually mean?+
Every implant procedure at Apex is performed under full general anesthesia by a board-certified anesthesiologist. You are completely asleep, not just sedated. You will not feel, hear, or remember anything. Most patients describe it as: I closed my eyes, and then woke up with new teeth.
How long does the entire process take?+
For All-on-4, you walk out of the surgical center on the same day with permanent-feeling temporary teeth. The final zirconia bridge is delivered 3 to 6 months later. For single-tooth implants, the typical timeline is 4 to 6 months from consultation to final crown. Healing time depends on bone integration with the implant.
What is included in your free consultation?+
Your consultation includes a 3D CBCT scan (a $400 to $600 value at most clinics), an exam with one of our doctors, a personalized treatment plan, and a written quote. No pressure, no upsell. You leave with a clear plan whether or not you proceed with treatment.
Are you a real surgical center, or a regular dental office?+
Apex is a specialty surgical center built specifically for dental implants. We are not a general dentistry that does implants on the side. Our facility includes operating suites, an on-site board-certified anesthesiologist, in-house CBCT 3D imaging, and a dedicated implant lab partnership for same-day prosthetics.
What it costs and what is included.
How is your $12,500 All-on-4 different from ClearChoice or other clinics?+
Same procedure. Same Neodent (Straumann group) implants. Significantly lower price because we are a specialty surgical center, not a national franchise with massive ad budgets and corporate overhead. Our $12,500 includes 4 implants, the full-arch fixed bridge, sedation under general anesthesia, same-day temporary teeth, the 3D CT scan, and follow-up visits. Zero hidden fees.
Is the $1,999 single implant really all-inclusive?+
Yes. The $1,999 covers the implant fixture, custom abutment, and porcelain crown. Your free 3D CT scan and consultation are included. The only situation where you would pay more is if your specific case requires an extraction or bone graft beforehand, and we tell you that exact number at the consultation, not after.
Do you accept dental insurance?+
Yes, we work with most PPO insurance plans and will help you maximize your benefits. Most plans cover at least the extraction, sedation, or general anesthesia. We run your benefits live during the free consultation so you know your out-of-pocket cost before you decide.
What financing options do you offer?+
We partner with CareCredit, Sunbit, and Cherry. Approval is typically instant. Sample monthly payments: single tooth implant from $69 a month, All-on-4 from $199 a month per arch, full mouth from $389 a month. Most patients combine insurance with financing.
Why are some clinics cheaper than $1,999 for a single implant?+
Look closely. Many advertised $799 or $1,299 implants exclude the abutment and crown, which together cost $1,000 to $1,500. By the time those add-ons are included, the total is the same or higher. Our $1,999 is the entire tooth, ready to chew with.
Bone, health, and age questions.
Am I a candidate if I have been told I do not have enough bone?+
Probably yes. We perform zygomatic implants for patients with severe upper-jaw bone loss, a procedure most clinics cannot offer because it requires specialty training. We also perform bone grafting in-house when needed. Bring any prior CT scans to your free consultation and we will tell you exactly what is possible.
I am missing all my teeth, am I too far gone for implants?+
No. Patients who have worn dentures for years, or who have advanced periodontal disease, are exactly who All-on-4 was designed for. We routinely treat patients who were told elsewhere they would need a year of bone grafting before they could even start. With zygomatic implants, that wait can often be eliminated.
Can I get implants if I am diabetic, smoke, or have other health conditions?+
Many patients with controlled diabetes, heart conditions, or other systemic conditions are excellent implant candidates. Smoking does increase the risk of implant failure, but most smokers can still get implants successfully. Bring your full medical history to the consultation and our doctors will give you a clear answer.
I am older. Is there an age limit for dental implants?+
No upper age limit. We have placed implants in patients in their 80s and 90s. Health and bone density matter more than age. Many older patients find that switching from dentures to implants dramatically improves quality of life, eating, speaking, and confidence.
All-on-4, zygomatic, single tooth.
What is the difference between All-on-4 and All-on-6?+
All-on-4 uses 4 implants per arch. All-on-6 uses 6. More implants is not always better, the right number depends on your bone density, bite force, and arch shape. Dr. Badyal's surgical methodology is built around All-on-4 because it is the most thoroughly studied protocol with 30+ years of clinical data and 95%+ long-term success rates.
What are zygomatic implants?+
Zygomatic implants are longer implants that anchor into the cheekbone (zygoma) instead of the upper jaw. They are used when the upper jaw has too little bone for traditional implants. The procedure requires advanced surgical training, which is why most clinics refer these cases out. We perform them in-house, often with same-day fixed teeth.
Will my new teeth look natural?+
Yes. Our final prostheses are designed using digital smile design technology that proportions the teeth to your facial structure. The result looks like teeth, not denture teeth. We use premium zirconia or high-grade acrylic for the final bridge, you choose at the planning stage.
How do I take care of dental implants?+
The same way you care for natural teeth, brushing twice daily, flossing once daily, and routine cleanings. Implants cannot decay, but the gum tissue around them can develop peri-implantitis if neglected. We provide specific cleaning instructions and a 6-month recall schedule to keep your implants healthy for life.
What to bring, what to expect.
What should I bring to my free consultation?+
Photo ID, insurance card if you have dental insurance, list of current medications, and any prior dental records or CT scans (helpful but not required, we take a fresh 3D scan as part of the consultation).
How long is the consultation appointment?+
About 45 to 60 minutes. This includes the 3D CT scan, exam, treatment planning discussion, and time for your questions. You will leave with a written quote and a clear understanding of your options.
