How much do dental implants cost?
Honest answer, and why ours are half the national average.
Most dental implant pricing online is misleading. βStarting at $1,800β usually becomes a $5,000+ bill once scans, abutments, crowns, and follow-ups are added. We don't do that. This page is a real, complete breakdown of what dental implants cost, at Apex and elsewhere,
Here's what implants actually cost.
Single Tooth Implant
Replaces one missing tooth permanently. Includes implant fixture, custom abutment, and porcelain crown.
Multiple Tooth Implants (2β4 teeth)
Implant-supported bridge replacing 2β4 adjacent teeth. Healthier than traditional bridges.
All-on-4 Full Arch
Permanent fixed teeth on 4 implants. Done in a single day under general anesthesia.
All-on-6 Full Arch
Six implants per arch for added stability, typically when bone density supports it.
Full Mouth (both arches)
Both upper and lower arches restored with All-on-4 or All-on-6.
Zygomatic Implants
Specialty procedure for severe upper-jaw bone loss when traditional implants aren't possible.
The line-by-line for All-on-4.
The clearest way to understand pricing is to compare what's included in each package. Here's All-on-4, but the same logic applies to every procedure we offer.
National chain pricing reflects publicly-advertised 'starting at' rates plus typical add-ons. Apex pricing is fixed.
Same procedure. Same Neodent implants. Half the price. Here's why.
1. We're a specialty surgical center, not a national chain. ClearChoice spends an estimated $300+ million annually on TV advertising. That cost shows up in every patient's bill. We don't advertise on TV. Our marketing is focused locally.
2. Volume + focus = better supplier rates. Our medical director has placed 20,000+ implants. That volume means we negotiate better rates with manufacturers (Neodent, Straumann group) and our prosthetic lab. We pass those savings to patients,
3. No corporate overhead. We're independently owned. There's no executive team, no investors demanding 20% margins, no franchise fees. Every dollar of your bill goes toward your treatment, our team, our equipment, and our facility,
4. Transparent pricing reduces our cost of acquisition. Patients who research pricing find us, book a consultation, and convert at higher rates. We don't need to spend $1,000+ in ad budget to acquire each patient.
What patients ask about dental implant pricing.
What's the cheapest type of dental implant?+
A single-tooth implant. At Apex, our all-inclusive single-tooth implant is $1,999, implant fixture, abutment, and porcelain crown included. National average is $4,500 for the same procedure with hidden fees factored in.
Why is All-on-4 so much cheaper at Apex than ClearChoice?+
Same procedure, same Neodent (Straumann) implant family. We're a specialty surgical center without national-chain advertising overhead, corporate executives, or 'facility fees.' Our $12,500 per arch is the real total, not 'starting at' pricing.
Are there any costs not included in your prices?+
Three potential add-ons we'd quote separately at consultation: (1) tooth extraction if a failing tooth needs to come out first, (2) bone grafting if your jaw lacks density, (3) sinus lift for severe upper-jaw bone loss. We give you exact prices for these at consultation, never as a surprise after.
How does dental implant cost compare to a bridge or denture long-term?+
Implants cost more upfront but pay for themselves over 20 years. A traditional bridge needs replacement every 10β15 years (~$5,000+ each replacement). Dentures need relining every 1β2 years and full replacement every 5β7 years. An implant is designed to last a lifetime.
Can I finance dental implants?+
Yes. Through CareCredit, Sunbit, and Cherry, we run all three at consultation to find your best rate. Single tooth: ~$69/mo. All-on-4 per arch: ~$199/mo. Full mouth: ~$389/mo. Most patients approved in under 60 seconds.
Will insurance cover any of the cost?+
Most PPO plans cover 50% of dental implants. Some plans cap annual coverage at $1,500β$2,500. Some plans exclude implants entirely. We run your specific benefits at the free consultation so you know exact out-of-pocket cost before committing.
What does the 'starting at' pricing other clinics advertise actually mean?+
It usually means the price of just the implant fixture, without the abutment, crown, scan, anesthesia, consultation, or follow-ups. By the time you finish treatment, the actual bill is 2β3x the advertised price. This is why we don't use 'starting at' pricing.
How much should I budget for full-mouth restoration?+
Full-mouth (both arches with All-on-4): $25,000 total at Apex. Most national chains charge $40,000β$60,000 for the same procedure. Financing this over 60 months: ~$389/month.
The wide price range you've seen quoted is real β and most of the variance has nothing to do with the implant itself.
When a patient gets quotes ranging from $1,800 to $7,500 for the same single-tooth implant, the difference is rarely explained well. The implant fixture (the titanium screw that integrates with bone) is roughly 20-25% of the total cost; the abutment and crown together are another 35%; the rest is overhead, imaging, surgical time, and the consultation/follow-up structure of the practice. National chains build their pricing around high-overhead retail real estate and large sales teams β that overhead has to land somewhere, and it lands on the patient invoice. Specialty surgical centers like ours operate at lower overhead per case because we focus on a single procedure category and run high case volume, which lowers per-case fixed costs significantly.
All-on-4 pricing has even wider variance β quotes range from $12,500 (our all-inclusive price per arch) to $35,000 from national chains and luxury cosmetic practices. The procedure itself is identical: four implants placed in optimized positions to support a fixed full-arch prosthesis. What differs is the marketing layer around it: glossy consult experiences, financing-driven sales pressure, and high commissions to the staff who close cases. None of that affects the clinical outcome. The Neodent (Straumann group) implants we use cost the same whether the practice charges $12,500 or $35,000 per arch.
Apex's pricing is structurally simpler: one all-inclusive number per procedure, no add-ons quoted later, and the consultation/3D scan are free. Where you'd genuinely need additional work β extraction of a failing tooth, bone graft, sinus lift β we tell you the exact price for that work at the consultation, before any procedure begins. The number you see is the number you pay.
