We run all three at your consultation. You pick the best fit.
CareCredit
0% APR introductory periods of 6-24 months for dental procedures. After intro period, standard APR applies. Best for patients with fair-to-good credit who can pay off within the intro window.
Sunbit
Soft-pull pre-qualification. Approves a wider credit profile range than CareCredit. Higher APR after intro period but more flexible criteria. Most decisions in under 30 seconds.
Cherry
Designed for larger procedure amounts. Supports financing up to $50,000+. Flexible payment terms (3 to 60 months). 0% APR for 3-month plans; competitive rates for longer terms.
APR ranges shown are typical industry rates as of 2026 and depend on credit profile, term length, and current promotional offers.

What patients ask about dental implant financing
What financing options does Apex offer for dental implants?+
Three established healthcare financing partners: CareCredit, Sunbit, and Cherry. Each works differently, CareCredit offers 0% APR introductory periods (6, 12, 18, 24 months), Sunbit specializes in faster approvals with no hard credit pull for the application, and Cherry offers more flexible payment plans for higher amounts. We run all three at the free consultation to find your best rate.
What are typical monthly payments?+
Approximations based on average financing terms: Single-tooth implant ($1,999): ~$69/month over 36 months. All-on-4 per arch ($12,500): ~$199/month over 60 months with promotional financing, or ~$280/month over 60 months at standard rates. Full-mouth (both arches, $25,000): ~$389/month over 84 months. Exact monthly payment depends on credit profile, term length, and which financing partner you use.
Do I need good credit to get approved?+
No, but credit profile affects the rate and term. CareCredit typically requires fair-to-good credit (650+ FICO) for the best 0% APR offers. Sunbit and Cherry specialize in approving patients with credit profiles where CareCredit might not work, they have more flexible approval criteria but typically higher APRs after introductory periods. Most patients who apply at consultation are approved by at least one of the three.
Is there a 0% APR option?+
Yes, CareCredit offers 0% APR introductory financing for 6, 12, 18, or 24 months depending on the procedure cost. If you pay off the balance within the introductory period, you pay no interest at all. After the intro period, standard APR (typically 26.99%) applies to remaining balance. This is by far the cheapest financing option for patients who can pay off the balance within the introductory window.
Can I use HSA or FSA dollars for dental implants?+
Yes. Dental implants are eligible expenses under both Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). Many of our patients combine HSA/FSA dollars with financing, using pre-tax funds for the deposit and financing the rest. We can provide the procedure documentation needed for HSA/FSA reimbursement.
What if my insurance covers part of the cost?+
Insurance reimbursement reduces the amount you need to finance. Most PPO dental plans cover 50% of dental implants up to an annual maximum (typically $1,500-$2,500). Some plans exclude implants entirely. We run your benefits at the free consultation and tell you exact out-of-pocket cost. Financing then applies only to the portion not covered by insurance.
Can I split payments between financing and HSA/FSA/insurance?+
Yes, this is what most patients do. Common combination: insurance reimbursement + HSA/FSA pre-tax dollars + CareCredit 0% APR financing for the remaining balance. Reduces total out-of-pocket cost and keeps monthly payments low. We help structure the optimal mix at consultation.
What happens if I can't make a monthly payment?+
Contact your financing provider directly, CareCredit, Sunbit, and Cherry all have hardship programs and modified payment options. They prefer working out modifications over default. Late payments and missed payments will affect your credit. If you anticipate trouble, communicate with the lender early, they have many more options than people realize.
Are there any fees beyond the procedure cost?+
Apex's procedure pricing is all-inclusive, no hidden fees, no consultation fees, no deposit fees. The financing partners may charge their own origination or late fees per their terms (which we explain at signing). The 3D CT scan, consultation, and treatment plan are free. The procedure cost ($1,999 single tooth, $12,500 All-on-4 per arch) is exactly what's financed.
The right financing decision depends on credit profile, treatment scope, and how soon you want to start.
Most patients evaluating implant financing are choosing between three categories of products: 0% promotional financing through a healthcare-specific lender (CareCredit being the largest), buy-now-pay-later style instant approval (Sunbit and Cherry), and traditional fixed-rate installment loans through partners like LendingClub or LightStream. Each has different approval thresholds, term lengths, and effective costs once promotional periods end. The right product depends less on your credit score than on how confident you are that you'll pay the balance inside the promotional window — a 0% offer that converts to 26% APR after 18 months is dramatically more expensive than a 12% fixed-rate loan if you carry the balance.
We run pre-approvals with up to three lenders at the consultation, at no cost to you and with no commitment to proceed. The hard inquiries we generate are clustered together and treated as a single inquiry by the major credit bureaus, so your score impact is minimal. Most patients leave the consultation with two or three concrete offers — typical monthly payment for the $1,999 single tooth implant lands between $69 and $95 depending on term, and All-on-4 ($12,500/arch) financing typically runs $250-$450/month. The exact number is yours based on the offer you accept.
If you have insurance, we run your benefits in parallel and apply any contribution before financing kicks in — that way you finance the actual out-of-pocket cost, not the gross procedure price. For patients using HSA or FSA dollars, we structure the timing of payments so you can deploy current-year balances against the procedure when it makes sense. None of this is templated; we walk through your specific situation at the consultation.
